A shuttlecock is a high-drag conical-shaped projectile used in the sport of badminton. Its shape makes it extremely aerodynamically stable, and regardless of initial orientation, it will turn to fly cork first when hit with a badminton racquet, and remain in the cork-first orientation. So how are shuttlecocks made?
